Support changes everything
You don't have to do this alone

Hi, I'm Chantel
a Certified Birth Doula serving the greater Portland, Oregon area.
I believe that every woman holds the innate wisdom to birth her babies. My role is to walk alongside you on this sacred path—guiding you back to your own inner knowing while providing education, resources, and hands-on support before, during, and after birth.
What is a Doula?
A birth doula is a trained, non-medical support person who stays by your side before, during, and after birth—offering emotional reassurance, physical comfort, and clear, steady information so you feel supported, confident, and deeply cared for throughout your experience.

While medical providers focus on the clinical safety of you and your baby, my focus is you—your well-being, your comfort, and your experience—from pregnancy through postpartum.

In short? I’m your birth wing woman. I’ve got your back.
A little about me
I’m intuitive, grounded, and deeply nurturing in my care.

I value honesty and transparency—I’ll always be real with you.

I practice evidence-based support, which means facts over fear, clarity over pressure.

My own two unmedicated home births ignited my devotion to birth and the care surrounding it.

I believe women are incredibly powerful, and witnessing birth is one of the greatest honors of my life.

I’ll never tell you what’s right for you. My role is to walk alongside you—offering steady presence, informed guidance, and support as your birth story unfolds.

Services
Pregnancy
We connect throughout your entire pregnancy to envision and prepare for your birth, work through unexpected challenges, and gently move through any fears around birth—together. You won’t feel alone as you prepare for birth and motherhood. I’ll be by your side cheering you on, helping you make sense of what’s new or unfamiliar, and connecting you to supportive resources along the way. Through our time together, we build trust and connection, answer questions as they arise, and align as a birth team—so you feel supported, prepared, and deeply held heading into birth.
Birth
This is where the magic happens—and where you finally meet your baby. I’ll be by your side through active labor and into those first moments after birth, offering steady physical and emotional support while helping you advocate for your needs in the birth space you’ve chosen.
Hands-on support may include massage, acupressure, aromatherapy, breath guidance, reassurance, and encouragement—whatever helps you feel grounded and supported in the moment. I follow your lead, because no two births are ever the same. I’ll stay attuned to you, checking in and intuiting what feels most supportive as your birth unfolds.
Postpartum
This is the afterglow—where you get to rest, reflect, and soak in the fruits of your labor while beginning to integrate your birth experience. I come to your home with a nourishing, home-cooked meal, and we take time to talk through the highs, the challenges, and those early days of motherhood.
During our time together, I can offer support with newborn care and sleep, lactation guidance, light housekeeping if needed. I also have a trusted network of postpartum referrals and am happy to connect you with additional care providers—especially those who work with your insurance—so you feel supported well beyond our time together.
